The real experience of Japanese Mountain Fishing Using Tenkara Rods

Tenkara fishing was a 200 year old practice in Japan, unknown to the rest of the world until the late 2000. These fishers were usually fishermen who would fish on the rivers on the mountain, and for this they needed utmost accuracy and perfection of their fishing rods. Tenkara Rods were traditionally made of bamboo and required perfection of the highest standards. They need to be very flexible on one end and also very sturdy on the other end where the fisherman was holding the rod.

Tenkara Rods in the modern world are very sophisticated with a lot of advancements. These rods are usually made of carbon fiber or fiber glass and are the perfect rods for fishing on mountainous rivers.  They are sturdy and provide ease of access to the string as well as the pole to control the bait and make the bait look as natural as possible when thrown on the surface of the water. These rods can be used both for saltwater as well as fresh water fishing. These rods are very effective in case of small stream fishing and when the flow of the river is slow. They are ineffective when trying to catch big fishes. Tenkara fishers primarily focus on small fishes, and can be experienced by using the effective Rod.

Engaging in fun fishing using Surf Casting Rods

Fishing inside the sea or a lake or a pond or even in a small stream of water is too main stream. What if there was another way to catch fishes by not stepping into the water? Sometimes a large chunk of fishes often come in around 20 feet away from the shore of a beach due to the pull of the waves. This is called surf fishing. This is the type of fishing that amateur anglers are first into, so that they can learn the basics of fishing using rods. Surf fishing as we see is the most common type of fishing. This is one of the most difficult techniques. Rods called Surf Casting Rods are used for Surf fishing.

These rods are majorly used on shores of the beach or lakes to catch fishes and are very effective in doing so. They have sturdy telescopic poles and the sensitivity of the string is decent enough to acknowledge when a fish has been caught. Surf Casting Rods have longer handles and have to be long enough to reach out into the waves for the strings to land into the water at the intended place. They are sturdy as well as compact in design.

Great Shape and firmness Define Spinning Rods as Well

Almost all fishing rods used at present for professional angling are mostly manufactured in Japan or with Japanese technology with the highest precision and design quality. Japanese were pioneer of angling for more than a couple of centuries and the equipment used by them were also of good design and provided anglers the accuracy that was needed to catch fishes. Tenkara fishing was one of their most revered styles of fishing. Ergonomic and steady are also words that can be used to define such rods. Spinning rods provide the sturdiness as well as the string sensitivity to catch both big and small fishes. Types of fishing rods vary depending upon the use of the rod.

A leisure boat ride into the sea with a couple of fishing rods on each side of the boat can make for catching fishes while on a rejuvenating boat ride under the sun, into the sea. For this, Spinning Rods are thebest choice to catch fishes while not having to hold on continuously to the rod. These can be fixed onto the boat and have a well shaped telescopic design, capable of handling even the biggest and fishes that fight against getting held onto the bait. In all, this is a great rod to have as a part of the angling kit.

Power and Might like None Other – Hera Rods

Fishing by itself is a great experience. Having an extra passion to catch big fishes gives a thrill like no other.  Japanese were pioneer in fishing and most of the techniques and support equipment used for fishing are designed and innovated by Japanese through the ages. Traditional rods were made using bamboo and were effective in catching small fishes. The bigger fishes needed a different design and technique to catch. Traditionally, Hera Rods were also made of bamboo but with a design different from the normal ones. This type of rod is used till date by anglers for catching fishes.

Hera Rods consist only of a single pole without reels and a string attached on one end. They are made of strong wood which is compressed at high temperatures to withstand the weight of heavy fishes. These rods came into existence only when the normal ones proved futile to catch heavy and ferocious fishes. These rods are very precise and accurate. It is easy to use and the experience while angling with this rod is fun and is an experience of a lifetime especially when big, non-cooperative and ferocious fishes hold on to the bait.
